Dial-ins must be on the car and cannot be changed once the racer crosses the yellow line and leaves the staging lanes. It is the driver’s responsibility to check your dial in before you stage. If you stage, you have accepted the dial in on the scoreboard.
Burnouts:
No one will be disqualified for burning out across the starting line. HOWEVER in the interest of moving the event along, we ask that you not burnout across the line if not necessary.
Staging:
Deep staging is not allowed (in bracket racing). If you deep stage BEFORE the tree is activated or if you roll through the beams, you will be given ONE chance to restage. If either of your stage bulbs is out when the starter throws the switch, you will be red lit. If you have problems behind the starting line, your opponent will be given a bye run once the starter has determined you cannot make it to the line in a reasonable amount of time. This call is the starters discretion.
Tail light:
In any racing after dark we ask that each race vehicle have a working tail light. This is for your safety. It is up to the starter or tower crew to make a tail light call.
Disqualification:
Disqualifications are made on the first or worse basis. Example: Crossing the centerline is considered worse than a red light. Since we cannot possibly cover all situations that may arise during eliminations, it is the Race Directors responsibility to make a judgment on disputed calls.
Elimination Procedures:
Bracket race pairings will be determined by the lane you pull into, odd number will go to the right lane, and even number lanes to the left lane. Time trials are run the same way. Bye run is determined by the first number spun before a round begins. The racer is pulled out and will receive a bye if there is an odd number of cars. Once a racer has received a bye, he is not eligible for another bye unless all other remaining cars have received a bye. After the first round of eliminations, buy backs race buy backs and winners race winners. The announcer will call you to your appointed lanes and you will run who you are next to just as you did first round. Example...super pro winner to lanes 5 and 6, first round losers to lanes 7 and 8.
Buy Backs:
Buy back at the pit gate. You can buy back first OR second round, but only once.
